Where We Are Now:
All Off the Wall Community Conversations to inform the mural designs have concluded. Between over the Summer of 2018 we hosted 43 conversations with our Community Partners engaging over 1,000 participants in total. The 10 Off the Wall muralists have created their designs based on what they heard in these Community Conversations and residents of the neighborhoods where these murals will be installed have provided feedback on the design concepts for the artists.
Currently mural locations are being finalized and installation will begin in November.

As Super Bowl LIII arrives in Atlanta in February 2019, the city has the opportunity to elevate its proud civil rights legacy and vision for the future. By emphasizing the idea of uplifting civil rights as a shared purpose, vision, and hope, Atlanta can advance the multi-generational and everlasting story of coming together for change.
Off the Wall is a city-wide initiative led by WonderRoot and the Atlanta Super Bowl Host Committee taking place from June 2018 through February 2019. Through murals, media, and community conversations Off the Wall shares elements of Atlanta’s civil rights and social justice journey, elevating key stories and ideas present in our city’s pursuit of civil rights, human rights and a more equitable future for all Atlantans.
Ten muralists selected by our Artist Selection Committee have worked with community partners to design and install artworks that represent the long journey toward this brighter future. The content of the murals is informed by 41 integral community conversations. Once all murals have been completed the collection will be turned over to the City of Atlanta to be included in the City’s public art collection.
